World Animal Day – 04 TH October

World Animal Day is celebrated every year on 4 th of October.
World Animal Day was originated by Henrich Zimmermann. He organized the first
World Animal Day on March 24, 1925 in Berlin, Germany.
The event was moved to October 4 th for the first time in 1929. In many 1931, the
resolution to celebrate 4 th October as World Animal Day was adopted by the
International Animal Protection Congress In Florence, Italy.
World Animal Day is a social movement to raise the status of animals in order to
improve welfare standards around the globe. Building the celebration of World Animal
Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilizing it into a global force to make the
world a better place for all animals. It`s celebrated in different ways in every country,
irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology. Through increased
awareness and education a world can be created where animals are always recognized
as sentient beings and full regard is always paid to their welfare.
The theme of Animal Day 2022 is 'Shared planet ' which means by living in
harmony with all living things will make the world a better place.
