Since 2012, December 4 has been World Wildlife Conservation Day.Each year on December 4th, Wildlife Conservation Day seeks to spread awareness about preserving and protecting the natural world and its inhabitants, including the species that are currently designated as Critically Endangered.

Additionally, the observance strives to put an end to wildlife crime and supporting the Endangered Species Act.World Wildlife Conservation Day came out of a pledge by the US State Department to protect wild animals by encouraging protections for species all over the world.

This global occasion provides everyone with the opportunity to learn more about wildlife conservation and to be part of the solution to wildlife crime.
